Accessibility Mission

Gaming is for everyone. We build it that way.

Our Accessibility Commitment

At Spaceman Gaming, accessibility isn't a feature we add after the fact — it's the first thing we design for. Every game, every page, every interaction is built to be usable by players of all abilities. We believe blind, visually impaired, and differently abled gamers deserve the same quality of experience as anyone else — and we're committed to delivering that.

How We Make It Accessible

A comprehensive, multi-layer approach to inclusive gaming.

Rich Audio Feedback

30+ distinct audio cues for every in-game action: firing, reloading, movement, menus, vehicle boarding, player kills, alerts, and more. The game is fully playable by sound alone.

Full Keyboard Navigation

Every menu, dropdown, game control, and interactive element is fully operable with a keyboard. Arrow keys, Tab, Enter, Escape, Q/E — all documented and consistent.

Screen Reader Compatibility

Built and tested with NVDA and JAWS. Semantic HTML, ARIA labels, live regions, and proper focus management ensure screen readers announce everything meaningfully.

Spatial Audio Awareness

Positional sound design helps players understand their environment — where enemies are, where vehicles are, what's happening around them — without needing visual cues.

ARIA Live Regions

Combat events, game state changes, match updates, and UI transitions are all announced to assistive technology in real time using ARIA live regions.

High Contrast & Legibility

All text meets WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios. UI elements are large, clearly labelled, and never rely on color alone to convey information.

Visible Focus Indicators

Every interactive element has a clearly visible focus ring — keyboard users always know where they are on the page and in the game.

Compass & Directional Audio

Iron Front's Q/E compass snap system announces cardinal directions — north, northeast, east, etc. — giving blind players full spatial orientation during gameplay.

Compliance & Standards

WCAG 2.1 AA

All web pages and interfaces target WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance for contrast, keyboard access, and structure.

NVDA & JAWS Tested

Game interfaces are actively tested with NVDA and JAWS screen readers. We fix issues as a priority, not as backlog items.

Accessible Games Initiative

We follow principles from the Game Accessibility Guidelines and aim to be a model for accessible gaming.

Community Support

Our community actively helps shape accessibility. Players with visual impairments are our most valuable testers — their feedback directly influences every release.

We maintain an active feedback loop: players report accessibility issues, we prioritize them above feature requests, and we ship fixes fast.
